03 · YOUR DESK

Built around your fleet

Your units, your rental agreement, your team and your logo. From the first call to the final payment, on one screen.

How it works

Every rental runs the same loop. RV Shop Desk is that loop.

Someone calls or books. The renter signs. The rig goes out, comes back and gets turned over. The bill gets paid. Every step lives on one screen.

They call or book

Miss a call at 6pm and RV Shop Desk texts back within a minute with the dates and rigs that are open.

They sign on their phone

The rental agreement and deposit go out as one page. They tap, sign and pay, and it is on file.

Out and back, with photos

Walk-around photos at pickup and return, dated and kept with the trip. Damage questions answer themselves.

Turned over and paid

The turnover is scheduled before the next pickup, and the final bill closes the trip on its own.

Paperwork, gone

A written yes on their phone, every time.

Quotes, rental agreements and damage approvals go out as one page. The renter taps yes and signs, and the signature is on file with the time it happened.

  • Deposits and balances taken by card

Turnovers and damage

Every return, documented before the next pickup.

Photos at check-out and check-in sit with the trip. When something is wrong, the repair is quoted and billed from the same record.

  • Turnovers scheduled between returns and pickups
  • Damage billed from the photos that prove it
  • Repairs run on the same desk a working repair shop uses daily

Guides

How to run an RV business.

32 straight-talking guides for owners who rent, repair or sell RVs.

How to Rent Out Your RV: Marketplace, Direct or Both

Yes, renting out your RV can pay its own way if you settle insurance first and price from your real costs. List on a peer-to-peer rental marketplace to get found, add direct bookings to keep more of each trip, and run every rental with an agreement, a deposit and photos.

What It Costs to Start an RV Rental Business

Starting an RV rental business can cost a few thousand dollars with an RV you already own, or tens of thousands for a small fleet. The units, insurance and a cash reserve are the big costs. Everything else is smaller, but it adds up fast.

Starting an RV Rental Business With One RV

Yes, you can start an RV rental business with one RV, and many operators do. Pick a unit that rents easily, set it up as a real business from the first day, and track every trip so the numbers tell you when to grow.

RV Rental Business Licenses, LLCs, Permits and Taxes

An RV rental business usually needs a business structure, a tax ID and the right state and local licenses, and it may owe rental or lodging taxes. The rules change by state, county and city, so the job is to ask the right offices the right questions before your first renter. This guide lists them.

Is an RV Rental Business Profitable? The Math for One Unit

An RV rental business can make money, but not by default. Whether one unit does comes down to the nights it books, the rate it earns, and the fixed costs you pay each month whether it rents or not.

Financing RVs for a Rental Business

You can finance RVs for a rental business, but the loan has to allow rental use and the payment has to fit what the unit earns in slow months. Read the contract, ask the lender in writing, and run the unit's math before you sign.

Fair questions

Before you sign up.

What works today, and what is still coming?

The core desk (signed quotes and agreements, photos, missed-call text back, invoices and payment) runs in a working shop every day. The rental screens, bookings and turnovers are rolling out to early access members first, and what you tell us decides what ships next.

Do I need to install anything?

No. RV Shop Desk runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. Your renters get a link, not an app.

What do I need to sign up?

Your name, your business, the package you want and a card. The card goes on file and nothing is charged for 30 days. No sales call.

How does the free trial work?

Every package starts with 30 days free. We check that your card is live with a $0 check, keep it on file and charge nothing today. On day 30 your card is charged your monthly price, then again every 30 days. Cancel before day 30 and you pay nothing.

Can I pay for a year?

Yes. Pay for a full year within 24 hours of starting your trial and you get 2 months free. You pay 10 times your monthly price once, including any RVs you added, and the year renews at the same price. Texting is not part of it and stays billed by use. Sign in and open Plan and billing to take the offer.

Which package should I pick?

5 rentals is $45 a month, 20 rentals is $180 a month, and unlimited is $499 a month. Add RVs past any package for $9 each a month. If that would pass $499, you just get unlimited for $499. We tell you when a bigger package costs the same or less.

Can I add RVs later?

Yes. Sign in, open Plan and billing and set how many RVs you have added. Each one is $9 a month, starting with your next charge, and the total never goes over $499.

What counts as a rental?

Each RV you rent out or manage on RV Shop Desk counts as one rental. Your package covers a set number, each added RV covers one more, and at $499 you have unlimited rentals.

I run fewer than 5 rentals. Can I still use it?

Yes. Sign-up online starts at 5 rentals for now, so email hello@rvdesk.com and we will set up a smaller account for you.

How is texting billed?

Texting is optional and billed separately from your package, by use, only when you use our automated texting. The texts you send are added to your monthly bill at twice what the carrier charges us. Missed-call text back and replies to your renters are all counted the same way.

Is RV Shop Desk a CRM for an RV rental business?

Yes. Every renter gets one record with their trips, the rig they rented, their texts, the agreement they signed and what they paid. Leads from calls, texts and your website land on one board. See the RV rental CRM page.

Does it do accounting and payroll?

Yes, both are built in. If you already use another accounting or payroll system, we connect RV Shop Desk to it by hand for a one-time $89 setup fee.

Is there a contract?

No. After your free trial it is month to month and you can cancel any time. If you choose to pay for a year, that year is paid up front.

Who is behind RV Shop Desk?

RV Shop Desk is run by Supercanic LLC and is an associated product of YourShopDesk.com. It is not affiliated with rvdesk.net or rvdesk.co, which are separate companies.

How do I reach a person?

Call or text (909) 259-7837, or email hello@rvdesk.com. A person answers.
